How it works in practice
After payment you receive a QR code (or LPA details). Scan it in Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM. Download the profile on Wi-Fi. At destination enable data on the eSIM line and turn off data on your home SIM.
eSIM vs physical SIM
No airport shops, no swapping cards, keep your home number. Dual-SIM phones can use physical SIM + eSIM: calls on home number, travel data on eSIM.
What is usually not included
Simy.ro plans are for mobile data (internet). They do not include traditional voice calls or SMS — use WhatsApp, FaceTime or similar apps.

Yes. Your physical SIM stays active for calls/SMS; turn off mobile data on it to avoid roaming charges.
