Compatibility · How it works

Why an eSIM in Germany?

A travel eSIM for Germany gives you dedicated data for maps, messaging or remote work without using your home roaming bundle. Keep your home number on the primary SIM, pay once and know exactly how many GB you have.

Tips before you go

Confirm your phone supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked. Install the profile on Wi‑Fi at home, keep eSIM data off until you arrive, then enable data roaming on the eSIM line and turn off data on your home SIM to avoid surprise charges. If something fails, we can resend the QR from your order page or help on WhatsApp.

FAQ

Usually on first connection to the mobile network at destination, not at purchase. You can install the profile before your trip.

Yes, most plans include hotspot unless stated otherwise on the plan card.

Many plans include EU data, but with limits or reduced speed after a threshold. A travel eSIM gives you a separate data bucket — useful if you do not want to burn your home allowance, need hotspot for family or want a fixed cost with clear GB left.

No — Simy.ro eSIMs are for mobile data (internet). Use WhatsApp, FaceTime or your primary SIM for calls.

On fixed-volume plans, data stops when the bundle is used up (no extra charges). Unlimited plans have a fair-use policy — see the note on the plan card.

No. Delivery is digital (QR / LPA). Individuals get a simplified invoice without a national ID number.
